We digitize and vectorize a wide range of base data covering the
Engineering, Petroleum, Industrial, Cadastral, Architectural,
Infrastructure, Mapping and Topographical sectors.
The production Center used by Transcad Digital Solutions' is
structured to convert large volumes of data to CAD and GIS files from
different media types and disciplines. A dynamic approach has been
developed to meet customers varying and exacting requirements.
This ensures that all of our customer's drawings are converted
by knowledgeable staff. We have the in-house expertise and capability
to understand ambiguous details and suggest corrections and solutions.

Expertise in Photogrammetry started in January 2002, when Transcad in
Egypt, formed a partnership with KLM Aerocarto in the Netherlands.
Presently, Trancad has 34 stations and employs 34 experienced operators
in this field. Additional 12 operators are under stringent training
during an evening shift.
Transcad Digital Solutions in cooperation with Transcad, can serve the
North American as well as the European market. We are still expanding
our resources in this field and continuously upgrading our capabilities
through training programs and process enhancement.

Transcad Digital Solutions provides services and distribute
GeoAutomation Mobile-Mapping System that allows efficient and high
accurate measurements to be performed that can be imported into GIS
systems. To this end Transcad Digital Solutions disposes of a recording
system, mounted on a van. The standard configuration contains 8 cameras but this can be extended to 14 cameras or based on customer's needs.
The GeoAutomation pipeline consists of several steps:
- Recording drive-through
- Automatic processing of the recorded imagery into a 3D reconstruction
- Geo-referencing of the result by means of ground control points
- Surveying based on the images

The small recording interval, about 60cm between images, makes visible most information useful for GIS systems visible. Moreover, after the processing all images are geo-referenced. Every interesting object can be surveyed or measured with high precision.

Transcad can supply the 3D CAD files resulting from the measurement on the images and/or supply surveying software, developed by GeoAutomation that interfaces with AutoCad or Microstation. The operator can navigate through the geo-referenced images or indicate the desired image in the 3D CAD view. All measurements that are performed in the images are automatically linked to the CAD system. A screenshot of the MicroStation plugin can be found here.
